The vineyard of Domaine de Ferrant spreads over 13 hectares of vines planted on plateaux and hills and overlooks the Dropt valley. Wines of the Duras appellation are produced there. You will find both pleasurable wines and wines of character in red, rosé and dry and mellow white.
An orchard of 8 hectares completes the property with plums which, dried, become the prunes of Agen. In order to preserve the environment and protect consumers, the Domaine de Ferrant is officially committed to an “organic” approach.
Precise and fresh nose with discreet notes of sweet and unctuous vanilla wood. When aired, that woody smell is more aerate, more elevated and comes with notes of liquorice and prune nucleus. In mouth, the attack is simple and frank, the length is fine. Pretty tannic, fresh, not opulent but long and elegant. Racy mouth, ending with fresh notes and flavours or liquorice and kernel.
